- OpenTech gate access, provisioned and revoked from the rental
- Tenant protection plans billed on the rental's own invoice
- Portfolio reporting and a full audit trail
- Role-scoped access for company and facility staff
We are onboarding a small number of design partners by hand. There is no self-serve signup yet, and that is on purpose.
How we count
You are billed per facility, not per unit and not per tenant. A 200-unit site and a 900-unit site cost the same, which is the opposite of how most of this market prices and is the main reason we are cheaper at any facility above roughly 330 units.
Because the meter is facilities, there is no question about whether an empty unit counts — it does not, because units are not what we charge for. A facility starts billing when you deploy it and stops when you retire it.
What Stripe costs, and who it pays
Rent is collected through Stripe Connect as a direct charge on your own connected Stripe account. The money is yours the moment it clears — it does not sit in a Storatix balance, and there is no disbursement schedule to wait on.
Stripe's own processing fees apply to those charges and are billed by Stripe, at your negotiated rate, not marked up by us. Storatix takes nothing out of a tenant payment today.
If that ever changes, it will change in a contract you sign, not in a release note.
Before you ask
- Is there a free trial?
- Not as a self-serve product. Design partners are set up by hand and run alongside their existing system before anything is enforced against a live tenant — which is a longer look at the product than a trial would give you.
- Is there a contract or a minimum term?
- Terms are agreed in writing with each design partner right now rather than published here, because we are still onboarding the first ones. Ask on the demo call and you will get a direct answer.
- What about setup or migration fees?
- We are not charging setup fees for design partners. If you are coming off another system with live tenant balances and stored payment methods, that migration is a real project and we will scope it with you before you commit to anything.
- Do you charge extra for gate integration or e-signature?
- No. Both are included. You bring your own OpenTech gate system and your own DocuSign or Zoho Sign account, and Storatix drives them.
- What happens to the price as I add facilities?
- Each facility is $249 per month. There is no volume tier published, and we would rather agree one with you directly than advertise a discount schedule we have not tested.
